Pour la collection de science-fiction d’Argyll, l’objectif était de faire de la typographie un véritable acteur du récit. Plutôt que de se cacher, elle révèle les thèmes du livre : contrôle et pouvoir versus liberté et anarchie. Dans L’Agneau égorgera le lion, les interventions graphiques (façonnage, reliure, typographie cousue) matérialisent les éléments surnaturels et les distorsions de l’histoire, tandis que le noir et blanc de la couverture crée une rupture visuelle, invitant le lecteur à entrer dans un univers à part.
For Argyll’s science fiction collection, the goal was to make typography an active part of the story. Rather than hiding, it reveals the book’s themes: control and power versus freedom and anarchy. In The Lamb Will Slaughter the Lion, graphic interventions (binding, cover construction, stitched typography) materialize the supernatural elements and temporal distortions, while the black-and-white cover creates a visual rupture, inviting the reader into another world.
